The characters: Paul Kellerman

The characters: Paul Kellerman

  • Alias: Owen Kravecki
  • Address: 226 High Point Boulevard, Chicago, Illinois 60607
  • Phone Number: 312-555-0167

Paul Kellerman is a Secret Service agent commissioned by the Vice President to make sure that Lincoln Burrows is executed. Along with his partner, Agent Daniel Hale, Kellerman had gone to great lengths to fulfil his duty for the Vice President. They killed Lisa Rix and Adrian, who were LJ Burrows' mother and step-father, and attempted to kill LJ. They've also killed Veronica Donovan's fiancé and Leticia Barris who's late boyfriend was involved in the frameup. However, their attempt to kill Veronica and Nick was foiled.

Kellerman was eventually forced to kill Hale after he caught Hale surrendering information to Veronica Donovan. Kellerman apparently lives under the name Owen Kravecki, a sales manager for a company that makes jerky. LJ discovered his alias and went to Kellerman's home with a gun to confront him, though the police arrested LJ before he could do any serious harm. His relationship with Vice President Reynolds is peculiar as he is very familiar with her when they are privately conducting their conversations. Kellerman genuinely cares for Reynolds as he continually supports her, especially after "The Company" threatened her.

The characters: L.J. Burrows

The characters: L.J. Burrows

L.J.'s (Lincoln Junior's) mother and father separated when he was young. His father, Lincoln Burrows, visited him every Sunday after the separation and eventually paid scarce visits to him. Hurt by his father's isolation from him, L.J. dismissed that Lincoln was his father.

Raised by his mother, L.J. was a normal teenager living in the Chicago suburbs until Lincoln lost his appeal. That, coupled with Michael being sentenced to five years in prison, affected L.J. greatly. Despite his excellent grades at school and normally upstanding behaviour, L.J. was arrested for possession of marijuana and put on probation. As part of his punishment, L.J. was to visit a mentor, his father, at Fox River State Penitentiary once a week. Although their first encounter at the prison was distant and filled with anger (mostly on L.J.'s part), Lincoln and L.J.'s relationship grew more father-and-son like after several visits.

Nevertheless Warden Pope had been giving him more responsibility with the intention of having Bellick succeed him as warden when Pope retires.

Bellick is also a recovering substance abuser, and currently lives with his mother. He is known to frequent a strip club as the strippers there greet him by his first name. As described by his ex-colleague, Bellick is as "crooked as scoliosis", referring to his corruption as a guard at Fox River.

However, Sara later became a morphine addict and would steal morphine from the hospital's supply during her shift. During this time, she also developed relationships with other addicts and on several occasions, her father, the Governor had to use his influence to keep her and her boyfriends out of jail.

Three years ago, while Sara was meandering through a residential neighbourhood with her boyfriend, they witnessed a car accident. When she approached the boy that had been hit, another witness asked for her help after she noticed Sara's hospital staff ID. However, Sara could not help since she was impaired by the drugs she had taken earlier. Devastated by her own inability to help, Sara immediately sought to change her lifestyle. She quit using drugs and set out to accomplish what she had intended to do during college.

18 months after the accident, Sara attended one of the group therapy meetings for ex-addicts. There, she expressed her intention on getting back to work. After the meeting, she met Captain Brad Bellick who was also present at the meeting. When Bellick told her that there was a job vacancy for a doctor at Fox River State Penitentiary, and simultaneously asked her out to dinner, she declined and thanked him for the referral.

His brother-in-law, Darius (Mike Jones) was a truck driver and suggested that he could help transport stolen goods. As an adult T-Bag started committing more serious crimes such as battery, assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, murder, rape, and kidnapping.

T-Bag was sentenced to life in prison for kidnapping, rape and murder at Donaldson Prison in Alabama. He quickly became the leader of the Alliance for Purity inside the prison, and under his leadership the gang became so powerful inside the prison the warden disbanded it and sent T-Bag to Fox River. Upon seeing that there were no Alliance for Purity members at Fox River he started a new chapter of the gang, its growth granting him significant influence within the prison. He has no qualms about seeking sexual gratification from other inmates, often preying upon younger men to rape them.

His behaviour is attributed to the environment he grew up in. According to Captain Bellick, T-Bag's father raped his sister, who had Down Syndrome. Bellick tried to insult T-Bag and referred him as an "inbred child of a retard".

He and Lisa Rix had a son together, Lincoln Burrows, Jr. (L.J.).

When Michael was 18, Lincoln borrowed $90,000 to pay for Michael's university education, telling him that it was his half of his mother's life insurance. There really was no life insurance and this money was the start of the events which ultimitely led to Lincoln being sentenced to death.

The characters: Michael Scofield

The characters: Michael Scofield

  • Birthdate: September 8th, 1978
  • Crime: Attempted armed robbery
  • Sentence: 5 years (parole in two and a half years)
  • Education: Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University in Chicago with a B.S. and M.S. in civil engineering

After Michael Scofield's father abandoned the family before his birth, he took his mother's maiden name as his own name. His mother died of liver cancer when he was 11 and Lincoln was 15.

His older brother, Lincoln Burrows tried his best to raise him. Having lost their parents, Lincoln descended into a life of crime. However, Lincoln worked hard to prevent Michael from suffering the same fate. Michael was a gifted pupil and finished Morton East High School with an impeccable record. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering from Loyola University in Chicago. He went on to become successful as a structural engineer at the firm of Middleton, Maxwell and Schaum in downtown Chicago.

Clinically diagnosed with low latent inhibition, Michael is unable to block out periphery information and instead processes every aspect and detail of any given stimulus. This, combined with a high IQ, theoretically makes him a creative genius. Due to a feeling of abandonment during childhood, Michael developed very low self-worth making him extremely empathetic towards other peoples emotions, as he is unable to block out their suffering. This explains Michael's desire to make huge sacrifices to help others in the show.

Three years before Lincoln was imprisoned at Fox River, Michael and Lincoln's relationships had grown strained because of their differing lives. Michael viewed Lincoln as irresponsible and became tired of "being the older brother to his older brother". After Lincoln was arrested for Steadman's murder, Michael initially thought that Lincoln was guilty. However, upon discovering that his brother had taken a $90,000 debt to pay for his education, Michael realized that his brother was not the man he thought he was. Remembering how Lincoln had always looked after him when he was a child, Michael swore to do the same. He reviewed Lincoln's case countless times but could not find a way to help him via any legal means.

After Lincoln's last appeals were denied, Michael decided to take matters into his own hands. Coincidentally, Michael's firm had been responsible for retrofitting the prison where Lincoln was incarcerated (Fox River State Penitentiary), so Michael had access to the blueprints of the facility. From this information, Michael spent a year creating an elaborate plan to break out his brother.

The story revolves around a man who was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit and his brother's elaborate plan to help him escape his death sentence. The current executive producers are Paul Scheuring, Matt Olmstead, Kevin Hooks, Marty Adelstein, Dawn Parouse, Neal Moritz and Brett Ratner.[1] Its theme music is composed by Ramin Djawadi, and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2006.[2]

The show is currently in its third season. The uniqueness of Prison Break is attributed to its serialized story structure, a similar format used by Lost and 24, and to its setting, as very few television series were primarily set and filmed in a prison.[3] Its success and recognition as a prison drama revived interest in the genre.
